17 Harmful in Android Applications

"Overall, we have found 17 malicious mobile applications that are freely downloadable from Google's Play. Where the 10 applications that use the potential of creating AirPush annoying ads prominent and visible to users, as well as six applications containing malware code Plankton," he continued.

Among other things, an application that explicitly describes himself as a spy. This threat is known by the name ANDROIDOS_PDASPY.A. The system works include the location of cell phone tracking, phone calls and messages.
Most of the applications above have been downloaded thousands of times. PDASpy applications such as has been downloaded over 100,000 times.
Users who do not activate the security of mobile applications can be interrupted by advertisements (AirPush) or application (Plankton) is dangerous because it is connected to the C & Cs.
"We found this application as part of the Mobile App Reputation (MAR). We continue to monitor both the official and applications from third parties. For the latest application was uploaded and popular applications for later review," said Trend Micro.
